Join Our Troop
We’re so glad you’re considering joining our troop! Here, we desire to point everything to Christ, and we are committed to growing together in faith, leadership, character, and a heart for service. Together, we’ll focus on developing young men who honor God in all they do, while building lifelong friendships and memorable experiences. Ready to embark on this journey with us? Let’s get started!
To join our troop and begin this exciting journey, we’ve outlined a few simple steps. From registration to purchasing uniforms, we’ll guide you through everything you need to know to get started with confidence and ease.
Step 1: Register on TrailLifeConnect.com
Start by visiting TrailLifeConnect.com to create an account for the parent. Once your account is set up, click the Add Son button to create a profile for your son. After the profile is complete, you’ll be prompted to pay the national fee for that child. If you have multiple sons, simply repeat the process for each one.
Step 2: Pay Troop Dues
After you’ve created the accounts, meet with our troop treasurer to pay your dues. You can pay by cash, check (made payable to Trail Life TX-0521), or Zeffy. The treasurer will assist you in completing the payment and answer any questions right there.
Please note, if using Zeffy, in order to keep their platform free for nonprofits, they default to a 17% contribution. You do have the option to change this to any value you consider appropriate. Be sure to select Other instead of 17% and enter a dollar amount in the Contribution field.
Step 3: Complete Medical Forms
Each adult and trailman will need to fill out a medical form. You can download the forms using the links below, print them, and bring them to the next meeting. If you’re attending our open house event, we’ll have forms available to fill out in person.

If you have medical insurance, please provide a copy of both the front and back of your insurance card with each form.
Trail Life USA no longer requires immunizations, though they are still recommended. Exemption requests are no longer necessary.
Step 4: Purchase Your Uniform
Each trailman needs to have the official troop uniform, which includes a troop shirt, lanyard, and shoulder loops. They’ll also need a tri-color hat.
